You are practicing hard all over the world so I will show you how easy it is to repair a broken keyboard even if you are not an expert.
The key is stuck.
I think it was caused by beating the keyboard like a drum or practicing extremely hard.
Well, let’s start to fix it! To prepare, we will only need two items.
- First, a screwdriver with a magnetic tip.
- And quick-drying glue.
That’s it. Make sure to use Instant glue which works with plastic. If you use water base glue, the keyboard will break again.
First, please turn over the Chromatone.
Lay the Chromatone on a soft surface.
For example, you might place it on the sofa, or on your lap.
You will see there are a lot of holes on the bottom.
If you look carefully,
you’ll see arrows.
I put tags there to help you find them easily.
There are 12 holes.
Please remove all screws. Turn counter-clockwise to loosen the screws.
How is it going?
The magnetic screwdriver helps you here.
Please put the screws on a tray so you do not lose them.
When you have removed all 12 screws, turn over the Chromatone carefully.
Next, carefully raise the cover and shift it back as shown in the next picture.
Careful! Do not push too hard, just shift a little bit.
Stop when you see the broken part.
I found it!
Now, it’s time to use the instantaneous adhesive.
You know the instantaneous adhesive is very strong even if you use just one drop. If you use more than two drops, the keyboard will break again.
So use just one drop! It will spread when you press the broken piece.
Now, this is the most important.
Carefully!
Use both hands!
Keep your eyes on it!
Be patient while the glue dries! When the pieces in the right place let them set for a while.
Release your grip carefully.That’s it.
I can’t find the broken key anymore because it was perfect!
If I change the angle, I can’t find the rough surface.
Please wait for about 10 minutes to make sure.
Turn over the Chromatone again and tighten the screws.
When you tighten the screws, turn the screw driver clockwise.
